The Le Marquis New York is a deluxe hotel situated in
the Murray Hill neighborhood, only two blocks from the Empire State
Building, the Garment and Flatiron Districts. The hotel is eight miles
from La Guardia Airport and 12 miles to JFK International Airport.
At the hotel, guests will enjoy personal service, deluxe accommodations
and state of the art amenities. All of the guest rooms are nicely
appointed and decorated in earth tone palettes with Aveda bath products
and Frette linens and bathrobes. The hotel has been designed with
the needs of both the leisure traveler and the business guest in mind.
All rooms have working desk areas with multiple, direct-dial phones
and high-speed internet access, as well as on-demand movies and in
room Nintendo. Nightly turndown includes overnight shoeshine services
and New York Times delivery in the morning. The staff at The Le Marquis
is professional and specializes in personalized customer service.
The Le Marguis New York hotel is minutes to fine dining, shopping
and entertainment. Please note that early departures will be charged
a one night early departure fee plus taxes.This Murray Hill boutique
property is a marvel. There is a comfortable yet distinctively contemporary
look throughout the hotel, in both the public and private spaces.
The gorgeous lobby, with its warm cherry woods and sexy blue-glass
light fixtures, is breathtaking. In the back is a wonderful living
room-style lounge that you're meant to really enjoy -- it boasts a
40-inch flat-screen TV, books, board games, and sofas you can sink
into.The guest rooms are not the biggest in town, but the available
space is beautifully filled with custom furnishings that include armoires
and efficiently sized work desks. The predominant color is a deep,
warm Americana blue, with geometric patterns -- squares on the carpet,
stripes in the window treatments -- adding a welcome dash of boldness.
A smart and dedicated GM who pays attention to every detail has incorporated
such luxurious appointments as platform beds dressed in goose-down
and Frette linens; DVD/CD/MP3 players; plush terry robes; and Aveda
toiletries. The sparkling white-tiled bathrooms with their beveled
blue-tile accents are magnificent. While having bathrooms with showers
only is often seen as a liability in a hotel, double-wide stalls and
luxurious rain-shower heads make these rooms more desirable than those
with standard tub/shower combos (which are available, if you prefer).
